7 months and counting

So I created this blog so I will remember all of the little things that Gabby does and when, and I haven't been doing a very good job.

Just to catch you up she has two teeth now on her bottom gums.

There they are!! LOL She is so cute I can't take it sometimes :)

We're not crawling yet, but she can roll anywhere and everywhere she wants to. She gets up on her knees and will rock back and forth and then bites the dust, but hey--she'll get it.

She says 3 words now--Da da, Ba ba, and Pa Pa. I only have "Da Da" on video right now--enjoy :)

As you can see she tries very hard to sit straight up, and if she has a pillow to grab on to she will.

She is obsessed with her Jumper. Thank goodness that creative people invented those for moms like me. I greatly appreciate it :)

Now for the biggest news! As I was cleaning my kitchen and vacuuming my stairs I hear Gabby crying and just whining because she wants my attention and in the middle of her sweet little cry she says "Ma Ma" followed by more crying. So glad I'm the only one she says my name while crying Haha!! Well at least she said it :)

I cannot believe my little lady is 7 months old already!! She is growing way too fast for me! I think it's time to start baby proofing the house!

Home Sweet Home

I can't believe our family trip is already over...Time is going to go way to fast when we all get together. I can't wait to go back and see Washington during a pretty season though ;)

I hope you enjoy this! Preston and Gabby seeing each other when we first got there. Preston kept wanting to kiss her. He would pull her head in and kiss her! So cute!!

Pres and Poppa went swimming in the hotel one of the nights. He loved it!! He kept blowing bubbles and then he wanted to get in the big bubble bath aka the hot tub!

We went to Seattle on...one of the days--I can't remember lol. But we went to the very first original starbucks. SO AWESOME. It was such a rustic eclectic little place. There were musicians everywhere you walked--I loved it!!

Sister pic!! How I have missed these so much!!

My smiley happy little girl. As always! :) Low and behold she cut her very first tooth on this trip--bottom right :) Not sure what this means for nursing anymore--that thing is sharp!

Inside the starbucks--the wood was so old on the counters and the floor.

Ok. This seriously was the best cup of starbucks I have ever had. And I am not just saying that because it is the original.

We also went to hard rock cafe for lunch. Pres and Gabby kept dancing to all the rock songs being played.

Bath time!!!! Ok so these two are totally going to hate me when they get older, but I just couldn't resist!! They are so dang cute and Gabby has never seen so many bath toys in her life she was going nuts!

One of the many mornings playing on the bed watching cartoons together :)
Preston was absolutely adorable with Gabby!! He kept saying things like "hold her" "yay down, yie down" "Hi Gabby girl" "Come on Gabby" I don't ever want to forget these moments! They would watch cartoons every morning together and one morning in the hotel he was saying "Oh toodles......oh toodles.......oh toodles. Where's he at.......I don't know?" LOL

Gabby on the plane ride home. Poppa some how managed to score an open seat next to him.
What a fabulous trip. I seriously do not know what I would do without my family. I love them so much! Miles can never separate us--thank goodness for blogs, facebook, cell phones, and skype. They truly are a blessing to me at least :)

That's all for today. Now to tackle my massive mound of laundry and make dinner for my husband at yes 9:45 at night. Gotta love retail. By the way if anyone needs a cell phone from verizon go see Dave at 119th and metcalf ;)

MMM It's always better when we're together :)

WOW. What a trip already. Flight was great--Gabby did amazing! We started off to a bumpy and cranky (on my part) start in Washington. We arrived, got our checked bags, and headed to the car rentals. Mom and Dad get theirs and ours just had to be the slow/system down car rental. As we are walking out to the elevator to go to our car I'm going over my check list of what we need to do. 1.) Put the car seat base in the car....Wait...where is the base?! Sheer panic sets in as I run to the baggage claim. And it's not there. I ask a man if he knows where it would be taken and naturally our airline's booth was closed so he says it may have been taken upstairs to unclaimed baggage. Time out. This is not KCI...no this airport is HUGE!!! Very easy to get lost in, you have to take those tram things to get across the airport for certain things. I'm almost in tears because it's an hour past Gabby's feeding time and I just want to go see Tara, Josh, and Pres.

I call my mom to tell her what we are about to do and she replies, "Oh I have it honey." Thanks mom for the heads up. I mean I guess I should have seen it in her hands the 20 minutes we were waiting by the car rental check ins, but it obviously did not register with me. So we get out to the car. I am completely frustrated, David is completely frustrated, and he lets me know that the car rental cost $400 for 5 days. WHAT?!!!
Somehow in the pure chaos of the moment the lady slipped in extra charges and car insurance which we already had. Sigh. I'm not sure why this kind of stuff ALWAYS happens to us, but it does.

Well we made it finally! And it has been soo wonderful to all be together again. Pres ADORES Gabby. He constantly wants to hold her and grab her hand and take her to show her everything. He says "He you go Gabby" as he hands her all of his "friends" (stuffed animals--mickey, minnie, elmo, cookie monster, frosty, rudolph, belly buzzer, and several more lol) and then he says "She yikes it!"
Oh how I love this little boy!!!!

The girls FINALLY together again! :)

Seeing and playing with each other again when we got there :)

He still wants to hold her lol

They love to kiss each other lol!!

So happy!!!

Traditional Matching Christmas PJ's. Yes Gabby had to have a pair too. It's actually quite a funny story how we found them. We went to Old Navy hoping to find matching Pj's for all of us since they have an adult and baby section to the store. Well it was a fail, so we decided to pick out the black polka dot ones and pink shirts since we liked them the best. We went across the street to Carters to try to find a cute hott pink footy pajama for Gabs, I went to the back and found those jammies!! I couldn't believe it! They have a poodle on the front which I'm not fond of but they still match pretty well considering :)

Church tomorrow! I'll post more later :)

Baby #2 Scare

Have you ever had one of those moments where you convinced yourself that you were pregnant? No I am not talking about the "I feel tired and bloated". I am talking about the "I have been through this before."

So it was just 3 days before we are about to leave for our trip to Washington and I am feeling nauseated, extreme fatigue, crampy stomach. Trying to keep myself from going there I tell myself that it was just something that I ate. I pick up David from work, he thinks I am being dramatic as I am reclined in the drivers seat waiting for him to come out. As we start to head home it hits me....PULL OVER!! As I am puking my guts out in front of everyone at a gas station I slowly lean up and start crying hysterically, "I am totally pregnant."

Not to go into all of the detail of how many times we pulled over (3 ahem.) We stop to pick up a test as David is reassuring me that it's not the end of the world if we are expecting again. Ha--easy from him to say. He has never been through 1st trimester before or have the luxury of being a stay at home mommy either, not to mention both of them together?!

After a night of throwing up every half hour till 4 am I took my test and it was.......Negative- Praise the Lord, Hallelujah, Thank you Jesus!!!!!

I have half way seriously joked about wanting to have another baby, but after that night I know without a doubt I am not ready to go through that again for awhile. A long while.

So thanks to me, my husband was sick the morning after I was sick, and now my mom and Kelsey have it....all the day before we fly to Seattle tomorrow. Perfect timing. I'm just praying my baby girl doesn't get this awful stuff. Well that is all for today. Can't wait to blog about our trip to Washington!!!!! And of course post pictures of my favorite most adorable nephew in the world.

Goodbye 2010. Hello 2011!!

So I decided to kick the new year off with a blog--Mainly for you Tar in case we don't talk enough ;).
The best thing that happened this year was obviously Gabby :)

Wow pregnancy...I actually enjoyed it at this point. It only lasted for about 2 months though before the shrek feet, sleepless nights, using the bathroom all the time, etc. began.
But she came!!! Exactly 1 day after my due date. Trust me my due date was by far the longest 24 hours of my life. After 3 weeks of contractions and false alarms my midwife and I decided to break my water and she came 4 hours later!
And life begins!! Wow what a blessing a child is. It is the greatest reward and the greatest challenge all at the same time. Life is no longer about yourself....ever. Unless Nana takes her for a couple hours and it's me time. LOL She has definitely brought David and I closer together in our marriage. I must say Gabby has the best daddy in the world--maybe not so much in the middle of the night but luckily we've been sleeping through the night for awhile :)

 First bath!!!
My princess a week old. She looks so peaceful and sweet, but I'm telling you she was so traumatized this day. This was during the difficult time. Being sleep deprived, not recognizing what each little cry meant, nursing for 30 minutes on each side just to do it again 40 minutes later, not being able to sit down without being in pain from recovery, forgetting my spray bottle when we went out--you mom's know the panic I had when that happened ;)
She definitely rocked my world when it came to ministry. Being completely honest it was extremely difficult for me to balance my ministry to our students through worship and my ministry to my daughter. There were times worship lasted about 10 minutes because I couldn't stand to hear my baby girl screaming as one of the youth took her out of the room. Not only was it an adjustment while leading worship but I am used to spending hours by myself at home playing my piano and worshipping. Not exactly the "holy moment" when your trying to enter into the presence of the Lord with a crying baby. She likes when I play now and a lot of the time it will lull her to sleep, but it's still something we are getting used to.
I have the best little traveler!! Yes we cry and sometimes squall, but after we drove 22 hours in a 48 hour time span to visit David's dad who had a heart attack--I knew I was BLESSED with this child.
She is already 6 months old, sitting up, eating cereal and fruit, observing everything and everyone. And as of last night has a new favorite word-- da da. I am thrilled that she said it, but a little sad that we are attached to the hip 24/7 practicing "ma ma" all the time and she says....da da. LOL.
Our life is not perfect by any means, but I can honestly say I am soo happy with my little family. David is the greatest love I have ever known and Gabby is our greatest joy. She is so happy all the time.

Now the worst thing that happened this year...my best friend and older sister moved across the country to Washington state with my only nephew and brother in law :( I know families are close, but we were closer than close. Tara, Josh, and P had just moved to Gardner literally 2 minutes away from us. We were soo excited about Pres and Gabby growing up together, and getting used to seeing each other every day since we were both stay at home moms. And then Josh lost his job and got a job offer in Washington. I know it was the best thing for them, but it was so hard to see them go :( It has been 3 months since we've all been together and in 6 days we will all be together again!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
He is going to be sooo excited to see his cousin!!! He loves her so much!
Sisters! Can't wait to take another trio pic!! :)
 I love this!!!
One of their last days together. Tara and I trying to take cute pics of them together. However neither of them were in the mood to take pictures so this is the best we got! LOL
Pretty sure she can't wait to get her hands on her again. :)

Happy New Year!! :)
